This variety is a well known,popular reliable and high;y recommened
runner bean. This Prizewinner (now a heirloom variety) has, as the
name suggests, won many trophies over the years.
The long straight rods of this prizewinner are of excellent quality and
are especially tasty. They stay succulent on the vine and are virtually
stringless. This runner bean yeilds a heavy crop and needs support to
give of its best.

Chicory (cichorium intybus) Pallo Rosso
Chicory Palla Rossa is very popular but equally widely cultivated
in other mediterranean countires. The palla rossa chicory variety
is well known for its superb flavour. Extremly hardy its beautiful
red and white variegated colouration becomes more intense in
cold weather.
As easy to grow as lettuce , Chicory Palla Rossa can be harvested
at the leafy stage or may be left to mature until the hearts form.
This variety has a lovely crunchy texture and tangy,spicey almost
bitter flavour but will add a zing and color to salads. Can be also
cooked and great in stir-fries.
